Filmmaker FAQ regarding scheduling of films .

WHEN WILL MY FILM BE SCREENED?
Filmmakers & Screenwriters were sent an email of acceptance that included questions regarding the dates of attendance.  If received in a timely (by deadline) manner, every effort will be made to schedule your film during that time period.
A complete festival screening schedule will be posted online in pdf form.

WHERE WILL MY FILM BE SCREENED?
At various venues in the general downtown area within walking distance between venues.  If you need assistance, let us know so we can arrange it.

WHAT FORMAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
SEND YOUR MOV OR MP4 FILE TO OUR DROPBOX OR SHARE FROM YOUR DROPBOX, OR A YOU SEND TYPE FILE DELIVER. Your DVD is the preferred BACKUP format.  We do have some BLU-RAY players (at designated venues) that should be compatible with most BLU-RAY discs however backup is recommended.

IF I SCREEN ON BLU-RAY, CAN I GET IT RETURNED AFTERWARDS?
Generally, we do not return the exhibition copies, but we WILL return the BLU-RAY discs in accordance with our receipt process.

WHAT IF MY MOVIE STICKS, FREEZES OR WON'T PLAY?  We recommend that you have a DVD backup of your final exhibition disc.

WHEN DO WE HAVE Q & A?  BEFORE OR AFTER THE SCREENING? Generally, we will start the Q & A during the movie credits so as to stay on schedule.  For extended discussions, you may move your fans to the lobby or designated area.  You are welcome to bring your camera and tape audience responses for your marketing campaign.  We ask that you help us to stay on schedule by not exceeding the time allowed.

WILL I GET MY MOVIE POSTER RETURNED AFTER THE FESTIVAL?  If your poster is framed (by the festival) it will not be returned.  If you frame it, you can take it or leave it.  If you want us to ship it to you after the festival, leave postage and handling fees with return address.

WHERE CAN I DISTRIBUTE FLYERS? POSTCARDS?  TICKETS?  You can hand them to anyone who will take one, but we do not recommend posting them on buildings, street signs, cars, lots, etc as it creates a litter problem.  Person to person distribution is best.  While at community events, talk to people,  invite people and leave them with your info or ticket.

WHERE WILL MY MOVIE POSTER BE?  That depends on the size (27X41 for special display at Roxy Venue) and whether it is framed.  We will have space prior to your screening time to display a framed poster if stands are available.  We will not be able to mount posters to facility walls but may attach them to windows and glass surfaces with easy-to-remove tape.  The festival will have some available.

WHERE DO I FIND THE PRESS?  Visit our media page to make contact directly.  Throughout the festival, especially early in the week, newspaper and TV reporters talk to attending filmmakers and screenwriters and others attending the festival.  Generally they will have ID badges but sometimes they are working freelance (undercover)

.
