The African Diaspora is the voluntary and involuntary movement of Africans and their descendants to various parts of the world
during the modern and pre-modern periods.
African diaspora populations include but are not limited to: African Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Latin Americans,
Black Canadians & descendants of enslaved West Africans brought to the United States, the Caribbean, Central America and
South America during the Atlantic slave trade.

navigating the barriers that force them to play small.
Her films projects center the stories of how those overlooked in the mainstream build re-build, re-shape, and re-claim
their communities,, even in the face of insurmountable obstacles.
Recent successes have included her film, Worst Student Ever (Producer, 2018) receiving the Audience Choice Award Winner
at the Breakthroughs Film Festival, the PowerPlant Artist-In-Residence (2018), the selection of her documentary film, Behind
The Fare for a screening at Mayworks (Director, 2016), and being awarded the Access Grant by the OAC (2015).
