I think it's sad that the romantic comedy has become a dead sub-genre. This kind of movie used to be lauded, and now rom-coms
tend to be either cliched or nonexistent. I wanted to make a film that is funny and romantic but also has some weight to it.
I wanted to make something with a classic, conventional structure but also with fresh ideas and a contemporary style. With
this movie, I hope to deconstruct the romantic, male lead and ask questions about the way we view relationships.

Robby Brumfield grew up near Columbus, Ohio and moved to Toledo in order to study filmmaking. He wrote, directed, and acted
in various short films while in school. After graduating with a degree in Film/Video and Communication, he obtained a job
as a producer for a creative ad agency. The Amorette Hotel is his first professionally produced feature film. He plans on
continuing to create films and music videos in the future. He also looks like a Muppet.
