Carlos is grieving his mother's unexpected death and tortured by a message his mom tried to communicate to him unsuccessfully just seconds before she died.

Carlos finds out that before the car accident that put her in the hospital and later in a coma, she had visited her millionaire brother, the one who stole her inheritance. Vowing to keep a promise made to his mother, Carlos sets aside the hatred brewing in his heart for her injustice and moves into his mom's house.
