These are the original calendars, scanned from their original owners. Therefore, some are worn, some have autographs or notations. They are shared here in honor of the legacy of our past and inspiration for our future.

Still seeking the 1991 calendar from 30 years ago.

Once upon a time these photos adorned the walls of the Martin L. King, Jr. Center on North 3rd Street as an exhibit of Photos honoring young and old, Black and White Distinguished men and women.

A WORK IN PROGRESS to fill in the historic biographies. Now re-activated for future generations thanks to the digital files from LegacyKeeper 2017-Thomas "Tommie" Twine.

We invite YOU (community, descendants & historians) to send updated info: birth, death, interment, accomplishments, biography, etc to legacykeepersrus@gmail.com and we will update.

Why should you donate? Bass Reeves is recognized as the most dedicated Lawman in U.S. Marshal history. 1875-1907. He buried his sons (Homer & Bass Jr.)in 1901 & 1903 in Muskogee's Greenhill Cemetery without a grave marker. This monument will allow the world to know that Bass Reeves's Legacy will not be forgotten. He was a man of faith, integrity and honor during a time of much strife for African-Americans. This Monument will bring people to Muskogee from far and near to learn more about him and his exploits both as a U.S. Deputy Marshal and as one of Muskogee's first Black Policemen following Oklahoma statehood.
