Why should you donate? Bass Reeves is recognized as the most dedicated Lawman in U.S. Marshal history. 1875-1907. He buried
his sons (Homer & Bass Jr.)in 1901 & 1903 in Muskogee's Greenhill Cemetery without a grave marker. This monument
will allow the world to know that Bass Reeves's Legacy will not be forgotten. He was a man of faith, integrity and honor
during a time of much strife for African-Americans. This Monument will bring people to Muskogee from far and near to learn
more about him and his exploits both as a U.S. Deputy Marshal and as one of Muskogee's first Black Policemen following Oklahoma
statehood.
Our Mission
To restore and preserve lost legacies. To document historical people, places and events for a lasting legacy via audio &
video documentation.
