Why should you donate? Bass Reeves is recognized as the most dedicated Lawman in U.S. Marshal history. 1875-1907. He buried
his sons (Homer & Bass Jr.)in 1901 & 1903 in Muskogee's Greenhill Cemetery without a grave marker. This monument will allow
the world to know that Bass Reeves's Legacy will not be forgotten. He was a man of faith, integrity and honor during a time
of much strife for African-Americans. This Monument will bring people to Muskogee from far and near to learn more about him
and his exploits both as a U.S. Deputy Marshal and as one of Muskogee's first Black Policemen following Oklahoma statehood.
